The aim of the study was to analyze the prevalence of academic procrastination and its relationship with peer dependency. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional quantitative study was carried out; 87 second, third and fourth year students of the Dentistry career participated. A variant of the academic procrastination scale was applied in a virtual space, which included 4 items about dependency between peers. The reliability analysis showed that the instrument is reliable (Cronbach's alpha = 0.837). The level of academic procrastination was 73.6%, the dependency between peers was 65.5%. A statistically significant association was found between the variable Academic procrastination and Peer dependency. In conclusion, Procrastination levels are not only high but they are also significantly associated. However, there are aspects that should be improved for future research, such as: sample size, statistical analysis of the components of the scale and association tests.
