Orthodontic therapy in maxillary lateral incisor agenesis: case report

Abstract
This case report describes the orthodontic treatment of a adolescent patient, skeletal class I, mesofacial, with unilateral maxillary agenesis. In the first phase the alignment and leveling was carried out, later a spring was inserted to recover and maintain the space of the absent piece, in the last phase the settlement of the occlusion and the retention was achieved with a removable plate with the tooth artificial. The treatment was completed after 26 months. The aesthetic and functional appearance is satisfactorily for this patient.
