Cobertura radicular: Combinación de colgajo desplazado coronal y técnica de túnel con injerto de tejido conectivo.

Resumen

La recesión gingival es caracterizada por la pérdida de tejido marginal que deja expuesta a la superficie radicular, siendo más frecuente en adultos y aumentando notablemente en personas mayores de 50 años. Entre sus principales causas se incluye el cepillado agresivo, enfermedades periodontales mal posición dentaria, tracción de frenillo, bruxismo, predisposición genética y hábitos nocivos como el consumo de tabaco. Clínicamente, puede asociarse con hipersensibilidad dentaria, inflamación gingival, caries radiculares y afectación estética, especialmente en el sector anterior. Se reporta el caso de un paciente adulto con múltiples recesiones gingivales clasificadas como Cairo RT1 y RT2, manejado mediante la combinación de colgajo avanzado coronal, técnica de túnel e injertos de tejido conectivo en los dientes 13, 14, 15 y 16. Tras de un seguimiento de un año, se logró la cobertura radicular consistente, aumento de volumen y franja del tejido queratinizado, así como la satisfacción estética. La finalidad de este artículo radica en analizar la efectividad de esta combinación quirúrgica en la cobertura radicular y los resultados funcionales y estéticos a un año de seguimiento. Concluyendo que la combinación de ambos tratamientos es eficaz para tratar recesión gingival Cairo RT1 y RT2.
