Abstract

Science is not just a body of knowledge, but it is a process for knowing, for adding to the existing body of knowledge with knowledge that is validated and connected to the current understanding of this world. It assumes that the world is understandable and that by using proper techniques can answers questions, even if the answers are only tentative in nature. This is not a new understanding about science, but how the whole of science relies upon research or inductive understanding is often missed.
